“Maritza” is deservedly considered the “most Hungarian” Kalman operetta: it contains powerful solos with national flavor, soul-touching duos, incendiary chardashes. A love story, and not even one, which reveals all the beauty of human relationships. The plot is based on social inequality of the main characters, who want, but believe that they can not be together. The heroes, having passed through distrust, deception, omissions, hard explanations, find their way to the heart of a loved one and find their happiness next to dear people.
